Jimmy was originally created in my junior year art class on the whiteboard, I drew him next to an egg without realizing it. Eventually, kids from other classes and grades helped me expand him for a while over a week and I got attached to him. After he was erased I decided to use him in one of my art pieces while deciding to put him in a funny situation so that even if someone didn’t originally see him on the board they would still think it was a bit funny.
Childhood Digital Photography 2022
As a kid I remember being brung to a park and being posed for awhile and then we just left which made a non authentic look of how I was when a camera wasn’t being put in my face. So in the pictures I took I wanted to try and capture the essence of being a kid by letting the subjects run around and do as they please while I took pictures.
Falling Apart Colored Pencils 2022 25” x 18.5”
When I was younger the thought of things around me crumbling, whether that is metaphorically or physically, scared me and would make me feel very unsettled no matter what. To this day I still regularly feel the same way, even if the situation is entirely out of my control. In the piece I installed this situation by placing things that would make people feel out of control of a situation or unsettled by the possible inability to fix it, I do this by cracking class and implementing bugs around the walls.
